ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The Department of Human Resources and Offices Services (HROS) is the central management and coordinating function for human resources management, HR policy and systems development and service delivery. It includes units for HR Operations, Policy and Organizational Development, Ethics and Investigations, Office Services, and Security. The Department serves employees and managers in HQ, Country Offices and Branch Offices.
The Ethics Adviser, in collaboration with other relevant departments as needed, will advise and guide management and IDLO staff to promote a work environment that is characterized by high ethical standards and in full compliance with respect to ethics policies, regulations, rules and other administrative directives.
Under the supervision of the Director, Human Resources and Office Services, and with dual reporting to the Director-General on specific matters, the incumbent shall be responsible for the following:

1. Promoting an ethics culture in the Organization.
2. Facilitating informal resolution of conflicts and concerns.
3. Focal point for receiving reports of potential misconduct and conducting a preliminary assessment of allegations, including, where requested, performing or overseeing investigations.

For this internationally recruited professional position, IDLO shall offer the selected candidate a Fixed-Term Contract of 24 months, with possibility of extension subject to performance and availability of funding.
IDLO will offer a basic salary of Euro 93,353 and a benefits package including provident fund contribution, medical insurance, leave entitlements including home leave in accordance with IDLO Employee Regulations and Rules. Relocation and installation support are also available for internationally recruited employees. Salaries and benefits paid by IDLO to employees are exempt from taxation in Italy. IDLO employees are responsible for compliance with income tax laws of their country of nationality or residence and/or of any other relevant fiscal jurisdiction.
