Overview & Responsibilities

The IDLO Ukraine Country Office (CO), situated within the Department of Programmes, maintains the central management and coordinating function for the delivery of IDLO programmes in Ukraine. The CO seeks assistance with the design and development of visual communication materials, including illustrations, infographics, and templates to support and communicate IDLO’s work in Ukraine.


Under the supervision of the Field Programme Manager, the Illustration and Infographic Creator will assist the Programmes in Ukraine by contributing to the creation of consistent, professional, and engaging visual materials that effectively and accurately communicate the progress and results of the IDLO-supported project activities. All the material produced under the contract remains IDLO’s property.


The primary duty of this role is to participate in the work of the officially established Working Groups tasked with providing technical, expert, and logistical assistance to the Selection/Vetting Commissions, through the following activities:


• Participate in pre-agreed team meetings to align on objectives, key messages, and visual style.
• Draft infographics and data visualizations to present complex information in a clear, accessible, accurate, and engaging way for various audiences.
• Create illustrations, icons, and other graphic elements to accompany reports, social media content, and presentations.
• Develop and adapt visual templates for social media posts, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
• Design templates and layouts for PowerPoint presentations, ensuring visual consistency, relevance and professional quality.
• Produce visual materials for printed and digital publications (e.g., brochures, reports, factsheets).
• Ensure visual consistency across all communication materials.
• Collaborate closely with the CO team to ensure visuals align with project goals, messaging, and audience needs.
• Revise and refine designs based on feedback from the team.
• Prepare final design files in editable and publication-ready formats (for web, print, and social media).
• Provide all source files and visual assets upon completion of each assignment.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are submitted within agreed deadlines.

Job Requirements

• Proven professional experience in graphic design, illustration, and infographic development (minimum 3 years).
• Demonstrated portfolio of a similar design work (infographics, social media visuals, publications, presentations).
• Advanced skills in professional design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Canva (or equivalent).
• Experience in creating templates and layouts for PowerPoint and social media platforms.
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, colour theory, and typography.
• Knowledge of motion graphics or basic animation for social media is an advantage.
• Own computer equipment and valid licenses for all professional design software used.

For this locally recruited position, IDLO shall offer the selected candidate a Single Engagement Contract.
