The Finance Manager oversees and coordinates financial operations for IDLO’s Country Office in Niger, ensuring compliance with IDLO policies, donor regulations and requirements, and applicable national laws and regulations in the host country.
This role provides strategic and operational financial leadership to both the Country Office, supporting effective programme delivery through sound financial management, internal controls, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
The Finance Manager reports to the Country Manager, Niger with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Rome-based Regional Programme Accountant, and works closely with the CO based programme teams, finance staff, and the Finance Unit at IDLO Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The incumbent is based in Niamey, Niger.
The Finance Manager coordinates the implementation of finance policies, procedures, and guidelines for the Country Office to ensure efficient and effective financial support to IDLO’s programming. The incumbent will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

Education and Work Experience
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting, preferably in an international working environment is required.
At least 3 years' proven supervisory experience.

For this locally recruited position based in Niamey, Niger, IDLO shall offer the selected candidate an Affiliate contract of 12 months, with the possibility of extension subject to performance and availability of funding.
IDLO shall also offer a yearly basic salary of XOF 18,076,777, medical insurance, and leave entitlements, in accordance with IDLO Employee Regulations and Rules.
This local position is open to candidates who are nationals of the duty station or with permanent resident status or other legal authorization permitting them to work in the duty station. An employee subject to local recruitment shall not be eligible for allowances or benefits that are exclusively applicable to international employees.
